The Central Region Committee and National Executive Committee of the People’s Party (PP) has donated plastic utensils to Joyce Banda Foundation Orphan- Care Feeding Centers.
The Founder of the Foundation, who is also the leader of the PP, Former President of the country, Dr. Joyce Banda has confirmed the development.
“Yesterday, 6th November, 2020, the Central Region Commettee and NEC Members of the People’s Party visited me to donate gifts to commemorate MOTHERS DAY,”
“The gifts are plastic utensils that will be used at some of the 31 Joyce Banda Foundation ORPHAN-CARE FEEDING CENTERS,” says Banda in a Facebook post.
Banda says Joyce Banda Foundation at its peak feed 10,000 children each day.
“We also provide food packs to those living positively with HIV/AIDS. JBFI has been doing this work throughout its 23 years of existence here in Malawi having been founded in December, 1997,” he says.
The former president commends donors that support his foundation.
“We are really humbled by the generosity of my fellow PP leaders here in the central region. May God bless you always,”
“We are truly grateful to all the donors that donate the food that enables us to feed all these children,” Banda says.
