Minister of Information Gospel Kazako has urged Radio Islam Malawi to create more job opportunities for youths.
Kazako made the remarks yesterday after touring the only Islamic radio station in the country.
“I urge management of radio Islam to be an ally and help government to grow the economy, create more employment for the youth, and continue disseminate information impartially,” he said.
Kazako hailed Radio Islam for helping to develop the country through various developmental programs.
He also urged the radio station to offer constructive criticism to the Government where necessary.
“Where necessary offer to government constructive criticism where it is loosing direction. In so doing, the radio shall prove to be a strategic partner to Government in developing the Malawi nation”, said Kazako.
He further said, Government is also working with Macra as a regulator of the ICT industry to review some regulations that hinder operators from effectively carrying out business.
He said the reviewed regulations will create a conducive environment for profitable businesses and high quality service delivery to Malawians.
