Muslim students in Blantyre have been urged to donate blood tomorrow , 12th March, 2023 during an event organized by Muslim Youth United (MYU) in collaboration with Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Muslim Students Association (KUHeS- MSA) at KUHeS Sports Complex.
Speaking in an interview with Muslim Media Agency, KUHeS- Blantyre Campus Muslim Students’ Association Secretary, Jazeera Kachidede says it is important for Muslim students to take part in saving lives by donating blood.
“Everyday, our hospitals need blood so if we can collect enough blood tomorrow, we can save many lives. We need everyone who is eligible to come and join us,” she says.
According to Kachidede, there is a shortage of blood in the hospitals and the drive will help patients in the hospitals who need blood.
“It is also a great opportunity for Muslim youth to come together, work together and build a strong relationship with one another,” she says.
Muslim students from Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), Malawi College of Accountancy (MCA), Catholic University (CU), and International University of Business Management (ICBM) are expected to grace the activity from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
