President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says his investors is putting in place policies to make Malawi an attractive destination for foreign investors.
The president made the remarks yesterday during the webinar hosted by Africa Invest.
The president asked foreign investors to come and invest in various areas such as agriculture, mining , energy , tourism and Information , Communication and Technology (ICT).
“The president outlined the deliberate policies that his Administration is putting in place to make Malawi an attractive destination for investors , including new measures being developed to fast track the process of registering a business,” reads a statement issued by Presidential Press Secretary, Brian Banda.
Chakwera through a statement says Malawi is reopening for business hence the resumption of airports services.
“President Chakwera also said that as part of his plan to reopen Malawi for business in the face of COVID-19 restrictions, new safety measures are being implemented at the country’s airports to have them resume operations in the first week of September,” reads a statement.
The president was joined by the Secretary to the President and Cabinet , Zangazanga Chikhosi, the Chief Advisors and other Senior Government Officials.
