Government hands over school blocks in Nkhotakota

The Ministry of Information, Civic Education and Communication Technology Mark Botomani has handed over two school blocks and other items worth over MK48 million to Maungu junior primary school in Nkhotakota district.

The school blocks will help the children to concentrate on their studies unlike in the past when they were learning in a makeshift shelter.

In his remarks Brainax Kaise, Member of Parliament for Nkhotakota South Constituency and Chairperson of Parliamentary Committee on Education congratulated government for making education a priority.

Speaking during the commemoration day, Kaise said the new school block will provide a conducive environment hence encouraging more students to start coming to school.

This is part of World Post day commemoration which falls on the 9th of October every year.

Postal and courier service providers contributed cash worth over MK5 million towards the initiative.
