If the winning of the elections were judged by a number of party supporters and not voters then we may conclude that come May 20, United Democratic Front would carry the day with a landslide victory.

What happened yesterday in the Malawi’s commercial city of Blantyre when the party’s Presidential aspirant Atupele Muluzi was presenting nomination papers to the Malawi Electoral Commission at Comesa Hall, indeed shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel for the UDF and its supporters.

Those who thought UDf would not rise again have to think twice. I don’t belong to any political party and you will be surprised if I tell you the party I am going to vote for but sometimes it is good to give a credit where it is due.

UDF is indeed still alive.

The Chipembere highway road was blocked, business came to a standstill in the city and employees had to come out from their offices to witness the huge crowd that was peacefully escorting the convoy of Muluzi.

“I am totally confused. I now don’t know who to vote for come 2014 because what I have seen today has made me to think twice,” my colleague Sothini Ngulube who witnessed this happening told me via Whatsapp.

“There are two parties now that I think I can consider voting, because of their policies. At least these guys have something to offer to the Malawians if we can go by their speeches as well,” he said.

The presentation ceremony of the nomination papers started on Monday with Democratic Progressive Party torch bearer Professor Arthur Mutharika and it is expected to conclude on Friday by the State President Dr Joyce Banda.

It is obvious that UDF will bounce back to government coming 20 May 2014. Other parties has nothing to offer to malawians. Please people do not waste your vote by voting the losers. Lets join hands to see the fruits of long walk to independence which has been promised. UDF Woyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
