Speaking in an exclusive Interview with Malawi Muslim Website, Jauma who is the founder of the group says the poem is all about what Hijaab is and the essence of it according to the Holy Qur’an and Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

“I came with the idea when I saw the beauty that comes out of a woman that wears Hijaab and how people are acting nowadays,”

“Women who wear Hijaab are Queens and they are more beautiful than those who neglect Hijaab,”she says.

According to Jauma, Muslim women earn more respect when they have put on Hijaab .

“The Holy Qur’an and Hadiths are clear on Hijaab. In every religion there are rules and regulations and wearing Hijaab is a dressing code of Islam,” she says.

Jauma told Malawi Muslim Website that some Muslim women dodge to wear Hijaab which is not okay.

“They should start wearing Hijaab. They should be thinking about the life hereafter because Muslim women are commanded to cover their bodies,” she says.

Jauma says apart from poetry the Lilongwe based Muslim girls through the group will be doing various charity works such as donating to the sick people and inspiring girls who are struggling in life and motivating them to focus on their goals in life.

All the girls in the group are in various entrepreneurial activities such as selling shoes and clothes.
