Sidik Mia Tests Positive for COVID- 19

Muhammed Sidik Mia who is Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Deputy President and Minister of Transport and Public Works in Tonse Alliance Government has tested positive for COVID- 19 pandemic.

In a statement issued , Mia has symptoms of the virus and he is now in self isolation.

“I wish to inform you that I have tested positive for Covid-19. I have self-isolated at home. I have mild symptoms and my condition is very stable,” he says in a statement.

Mia urges all people who have been close to him for the last few days to get tested for the pandemic.

“I advise anyone who has been in close contact with me these past days to please get tested,”

“I urge you all dear friends to PLEASE adhere to the covid safety guidelines. Covid is real,” Mia says.

The MCP Deputy President hails Malawi health workers for their efforts to see off the pandemic.

“I wish to take this opportunity to applaud all our healthcare workers for their dedication and the remarkable job they are doing,” Mia says.
